Richard has written to the Local Government Minister, Rushanara Ali MP, to ask that the government supports the exploration into determining the scale and scope of the shallow reservoir of gas at Cleat Hill.
Richard Fuller MP said:
Whilst surveys have indicated the low current levels of gas in the ground and air around the affected properties in Cleat Hill, residents are naturally very keen to understand not just the size of the reservoir, but also crucially, what the impact of the previous high pressure venting may have been on the stability of the area.
I hope the government will recognise the importance of these questions and assist the local authority in all ways possible to ascertain the necessary answers.
