Speaking from Conservative Party Conference this week where Richard visited the Alzheimer's Society Stand, Richard Fuller MP said:
Most of us will know someone who is suffering or has suffered with dementia; a terrible disease that is sometimes harder to bear for loved ones than for the patient themselves and something that will touch more of our lives as we increasingly live longer lives.
I am pleased that significant sums have been directed into research into the causes and possible cures of dementia over the last decade, and was particularly heartened by last week's announcements that some new drugs are showing positive indications of at least slowing the development of the disease among sufferers.
It was good to see the Alzheimer's Society at Party Conference and I am very happy to support the great work they do in this field.
