This week, Richard attended the AGM of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Speaking after the meeting, Richard Fuller MP said:
On Wednesday, I had time between meetings to drop in on the annual general meeting of the MND All Party group in Parliament. The group is chaired by Conservative MP, Andrew Lewer, who was able to report on recent successes, for example in securing £50m for MND research, but also upcoming campaigning priorities including on improved, and speedier, access to grants for home adaptations.
Alex Massey of the MND Association gave an excellent briefing on the main concerns and made recommendations, particular on shortening timeframes, to create a more effective system of support.
