On Thursday, Richard visited Caldecote Church of England Academy to talk to staff and students about climate change in the run up to COP26.
Richard Fuller, MP for North East Bedfordshire, said:
I spent a wonderful morning at Caldecote CE Academy with Head Teacher Sarah Campbell, her staff and all of the pupils for an energised discussion about climate change and environmentalism in the build up to COP 26 next month.
Not only did the pupils share a number of ideas for how we all as individuals can do our bit to improve our environment and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, they had also taken the time to write letters for me to pass to the Prime Minister for him to share with other world leaders at COP 26.
I was particularly taken with the happiness and positivity that exuded from everyone in the school, and from my lengthy discussion with Ms Campbell after the assembly, it is clear that the school is in excellent hands with an imaginative and structured vision for the children's ongoing development.
Thanks to everyone who made me feel so welcome and for sharing so many ideas for combatting climate change and pollution.
