Last week, Richard visited the head office of Jordans Dorset Ryvita (JDR) in Biggleswade with Minister Tom Pursglove MP, the MP for Corby.
Speaking after the visit, Richard Fuller MP said:
JDR is an important and valued employer in my constituency, manufacturing well loved breakfast cereals and healthy snack bars that families across the country, and increasingly the world, enjoy.
With inflation hitting family food budgets, we had an extremely useful discussion on issues the company face to keep prices competitive. We also discussed the impact of legislation on HFSS (high in fat, salt or sugar) foods and the pace of agricultural reforms on costs.
I also raised my concerns with potential upcoming proposals on Extended Producer Responsibility for recycling which is a very good idea but needs careful planning to avoid laying on even more cost pressures.
My thanks to CEO Anne Sawbridge and her leadership team for such an informative and engaging visit.
