On Friday Richard visited Wilden VA Primary School to hear their thoughts on how we can combat climate change and environmental pollution.
Richard Fuller, MP for North East Bedfordshire. said:
I spent a wonderful morning meeting staff and pupils. It seems that many of the Country's future scientists and engineers are in Wilden, as the pupils there had put great efforts into designing a vast array of creative 'green' machines to help us protect our planet.
We had drones, ships and submarines to help collect pollution from the oceans, and we even had a fully specced, nuclear-powered flying machine that ingested carbon dioxide and turned it into oxygen.
Great imagination and confidently presented and explained by the pupils. Clearly Headmaster Mr Pointon and the teachers have done a tremendous job of engaging the children and motivating them to do such fabulous work. Well done to the "Eco Saviours" as they have branded themselves.
Richard is visiting schools across the constituency in the run up to COP26 to engage school children in the climate change challenge.
