On Monday morning, Richard Fuller MP spent time with staff at the East of England Ambulance Service hearing about their work pressures both now, and during the height of the Covid crisis.
After the visit, Richard said:
Having ridden along in an ambulance previously, I was aware of the professionalism and commitment of the team as well as the pressures they face every day.
I was not surprised to hear about frustrations surrounding delays, however I was shocked at the stories of abuse and threatening behaviour that are sadly all too common, as well as trivial call-outs that take up so much resource.
My thanks to Ed, Zoe and everyone else I spoke to for their input.
