Richard's latest farmers’ forum in Stagsden, drew farmers from across North Bedfordshire.

I recently held my latest Farmers' Forum at the NFU Mutual offices in Stagsden - many thanks to them for kindly hosting the event.
The main topic was the Family Farm Tax proposed by the Labour Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, in her recent budget. This tax is so badly thought through that it threatens to reduce our food security, put farmers out of business and end up raising no extra tax at all. There is still time for the government to check their calculations and come back with a proposal that works for our farmers and our food security
Sir Keir Starmer seems to be digging his heels in, but he would surely change his mind if he could have listened to what my constituents told me would be the impact on their families.
