Recently in Parliament, Richard asked the Leader of the House for a debate in government time to discuss Luton Airport expansion.
Richard Fuller, MP for North East Bedfordshire, said:
Recent flight path changes at Luton Airport have increased the air and noise pollution for residents in Potton, Sandy and Biggleswade in my constituency and the proposed expansion of capacity at the airport would exacerbate these still further.
Luton Council receives tens of millions of pounds in annual revenues from Luton Airport whilst affected communities in surrounding areas receive nothing so I asked the Leader of the House of we could debate how affected communities like those in my constituency can benefit from Luton Airport expansion.
