This week, Richard laid a Remembrance stake in the House of Commons Constituency Garden of Remembrance at New Palace Yard within Parliament grounds dedicated to those who served in North East Bedfordshire. The garden, which was installed last year by Speaker Lyndsay Hoyle to mark the 100th anniversary of the Royal British Legion, contains a Remembrance Stake representing each of the 650 constituencies of the United Kingdom, the 54 member countries of the Commonwealth, and 14 British Overseas Territories.
Richard Fuller MP said:
This week I laid a Remembrance stake in the House of Commons Garden of Remembrance in memory of the men and women of North East Bedfordshire who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms.
Thank you also to the Royal British Legion for their continued work in providing lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.
Richard will also be attending a number of local Remembrance Day events in North East Bedfordshire across this coming weekend to remember all those who served and sacrificed.
