On Tuesday, during Treasury Question in Parliament, Richard asked the Chief Secretary to the Treasury to meet with him to discuss East West Rail.
The question and the Minister's reply can be watched here.
Speaking after the exchange, Richard Fuller MP said:
I pointed out to the Minister that if EWR ever does publish its long-awaited business case, it will represent a bad deal for taxpayers.
MPs from across Parliament had jointly penned a letter to the Chancellor outlining greener and better alternatives for driving growth across the OxCam Arc and that a Conservative candidate had won the Bedford Borough Mayoralty for the first time whilst calling for a review of the Council's support for EWR.
I am grateful that the Minister agreed to meet with me and I will report back when I have any updates.
