This week in Parliament, Richard raised the question of whether the 1951 Convention and 197 Protocols that underpin how humanity deals with refugees in times of crisis, remain sufficiently robust and effective in the modern world and in the decades to come.
Commenting, Richard Fuller MP said:
There are questions to be asked about whether the 1951 Convention and 197 Protocols remain robust and effective enough to meet the challenges of refugees in the decades to come and I challenged the Home Secretary to take the lead in international discussions on this topic.
